What is RSS?
RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. It's a way of consolidating streams of information in one central place and can offer many advantages over visiting the website sources of those streams manually. As an example, many bloggers publish an RSS feed of their posts and readers aggregate all their favorite blogs' feeds in an aggregator. This makes it more convenient to check for new posts daily on a large number of blogs.
How do you view an RSS feed?
Some browsers have built-in RSS feed readers. There are dedicated RSS applications available as well: Google has a useful list. To find a RSS feed on a page look for this icon:
